Blue Lagoon and Retreat Spa Terms & Cancellation Policy

These are the General Terms of Service and Cancellation Policy of Blue Lagoon hf. (Blue Lagoon Ltd.), registered at Grindavíkurbraut 9, 240 Grindavík, Iceland.
These terms and policies apply to all guests visiting the Blue Lagoon and the Retreat Spa purchasing their services/products at https://www.bluelagoon.com, hereafter called website.
1. Prices and payments
All purchases made through the website require full payment with a credit card at the time of purchase. By default, prices on the website are in EUR. Once you initiate the booking process, you can select ISK, USD, or GBP as alternative currencies. However, the transaction will always be made in ISK. Prices include VAT and all other taxes and service fees. Prices quoted can change without notice. After payment has been made and/or an invoice has been issued, the price is guaranteed against any surcharge, unless there is a price increase due to government laws or currency fluctuations.
2. Online Purchases
Admission that includes multiple services and/or products are solely based on availability at the time of visit. All the products and/or services included in admission type, e.g. reservations at restaurants, massage reservations, accessories and more, are subject to availability. Should these services/products be unavailable for any reason, you will be entitled to either a refund of that particular service/product or change your booking to another time and/or date without having to pay any change fee.
When you book your admission at the website, the electronic ticket you receive can only be used once. All subsequent usages will be refused.
Unlawful resale or attempted resale is grounds for seizure and cancellation without compensation. Tickets obtained from unauthorized sources may be lost, stolen or counterfeit, and if so are void. Tickets are not redeemable for cash. It is illegal to reproduce them in any form.
The ticket is valid only at the date and time selected in the booking process and clearly stated on the ticket you received after completing your purchase. If you don’t arrive at the pre-booked date and time, Blue Lagoon cannot guarantee availability.
When you book a private changing room at the Retreat Spa, the changing room will be reserved for the date and time you selected. If you arrive late, your stay will not be extended. The time slot you reserved is for 5 hours, starting at the arrival time of your booking.
4. Amending a booking for Blue Lagoon and Retreat Spa
To amend a booking, please visit my.bluelagoon.com or send us a request via email at firstname.lastname@example.org and reference your original booking confirmation number. Where changes involve moving from a higher priced ticket to a lower priced ticket, the difference will not be refunded. You cannot change the date or time of a booking after the originally selected date/time has passed.
5. Cancelling a booking

All cancellations must be presented to Blue Lagoon through My Blue Lagoon or Bluelagoon.com/contact or in writing, via e-mail, to the address email@example.com.
If you cancel with more than 24 hours' notice: 100% is refunded
If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice: No refund is made
If you cancel with more than 48 hours' notice: 100% is refunded
If you cancel with less than 48 hours' notice: No refund is made
Blue Lagoon Ltd. reserves the right to cancel all bookings and reservations, when unable to provide the company’s services due to Force majeure event, such as but not limited to weather, strikes, natural disasters, or any other irregularity outside the company’s control. In such an event, no compensation or refund is payable.
Bus transfers to/from Blue Lagoon to/from Reykjavik and the International Airport (KEF) is available as an add-on in the booking process. When you book a transfer with your entrance package, you will receive an email from Destination Blue Lagoon, which contains the transportation voucher.
7. Photographs, films and social content
Photographs, films or social content taken at Blue Lagoon, the Retreat, Silica Hotel, or other Blue Lagoon facilities cannot be used for any commercial purposes without prior written consent from Blue Lagoon Iceland hf. For further information, please see our photograph/film release conditions on our website. We reserve the right to seek compensation for any use which is contrary to our conditions.
8. Liability and insurance. Force Majeure
Blue Lagoon disclaims responsibility for any loss, damage, accidents, sickness or changes in schedule caused by Force Majeure event, such as but not limited to weather, strikes, natural disasters, or any other irregularity outside the company’s control and for expenses due to any of these reasons.
Blue Lagoon disclaims responsibility for any guest valuables that might get lost or damaged during the visit. All such losses and expenses are the personal liability of the guest.
We advise all our customers to have valid travel insurance. This insurance should be obtainable in your country of residence.
9. General provisions
You agree that any claim, action or lawsuit arising out of these terms and conditions and/or the services/products purchased, shall be interpreted and governed in conformity with Icelandic law. For any legal dispute which may arise, both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction and competence of the Judges and Courts of the town of Reykjanesbaer, Iceland.
10. Terms amendments
We reserve the right to change these Terms of Service and Cancellation Policy at any time. The date of the last revision of these Terms of Service is set at the bottom of this page.
