We offer disabled parking in the main parking lot. From there, the walk to the main entrance takes approximately half a minute.
With electric door openers, the hotel is wheelchair accessible. Guests arriving without a wheelchair can borrow one from reception.
Wheelchair accessible rooms
Three of our rooms have larger bathrooms and are classified as wheelchair friendly. As one of these rooms is close to reception, we typically reserve it for people with mobility issues.
In the hotel there is a wheelchair-accessible unisex changing room. A special changing room—large enough to be shared with an assistant—is available for guests requiring more space and more privacy.
A shower chair is available upon request. We also have a wheelchair which can be used for entering Silica Lagoon. We ask our guests to exercise caution as the floors in the changing rooms and around the lagoon may be slippery.
The deepest part of the lagoon at Silica Hotel is 1.45m/4.8ft, but most areas of the water are far shallower.

Each room can accommodate a maximum of 2 adults, 1 child (3-10 years old), and one infant (0-2 years old). The additional cost for children is ISK 15,000. There is no charge for infants and we provide a baby cot.
Your credit card information is taken as a guarantee for your room. Your card will be charged the full amount 7 days prior to your arrival. Bookings made within 7 days of check-in are non-refundable.

Located in the main Blue Lagoon complex, Blue Cafe offers a range of refreshments including sandwiches, salads, sushi, smoothies, beer, coffee, and light snacks. The café is open during the lagoon’s hours of operation.

For 1-3 rooms booked between March 12 and June 20, 2020
Cancel or modify your booking up to 48 hours prior to arrival without penalty.

If you have made your reservation via our online booking system, we recommend using the online “Modify or Cancel a Reservation” feature.
All other cancellations or changes must be communicated in writing and sent to email@example.com.
A) Individual reservations
To avoid penalty, cancellations or changes must be made by 6:00 p.m., local time, 7 days prior to arrival. Cancellations or changes received within 7 days of check-in are non-refundable. The same applies to no-shows.

B) Group reservations
For bookings of 4 rooms or more, cancellations or changes must be made at least 60 days prior to arrival. Cancellations or changes made within 60 days of arrival are subject to full charge.
