Yes, all guests of the Retreat Hotel get free admission to the Blue Lagoon during their stay. The only condition is that access is limited to the lagoon’s normal opening hours.
During their stay, guests of the Retreat Hotel have unlimited access to the Retreat Spa, the Retreat Lagoon, and the Blue Lagoon. Kindly note, however, that access is limited to the regular opening hours of these entities.
Children are welcome at the Retreat, but the following policies apply:
Suites on the ground level
Children aged 8 or younger are not permitted to stay in the suites on the ground level: Lava View Junior Suites, Lagoon View Junior Suites, and Lagoon Suites. This is because these suites have direct access to the water surrounding the complex.
All our suites are designed for a maximum occupancy of 2 adult guests, but we offer adjoining junior suites that are ideal for families.
Alternatively, the sofa in our Moss Suite can be transformed into a bed for 1 child up to 12 years of age. Similarly, the sofa in the Lagoon Suite can be transformed into a bed for 1 child who is between the ages of 9 and 12. If you are interested in either of these options, please send a request to email@example.com.
If you are travelling with an infant (0-2), we can provide a baby cot free of charge in the Moss Suite or Moss Junior Suite.
The Retreat Spa, the Retreat Lagoon, and the Blue Lagoon
Children must be at least 12 years old to access to the Retreat Spa and the Retreat Lagoon. Children under 12—and older than 2—are welcome to use the Blue Lagoon. However, children who are 2 and younger are not permitted in the lagoon because of the water’s high mineral content.
The water surrounding the suites is intended for esthetic enjoyment. The only exception to this rule is the Lagoon Suite, which offers private access to the mineral-rich warmth.
All of our suites are designed for a maximum occupancy of 2 adult guests. Parties of 3 or more are advised to book two adjoining suites. If you’re travelling with children, please refer to the previous section for guidance.

Built into an 800-year-old lava cliff on the west bank of the Blue Lagoon, Lava Restaurant brings together dynamic cuisine and remarkable views to create unforgettable dining experiences.

Wall-to-wall glass opens to the light and lava of the surrounding lagoon while the wood-burning fireplace brings warmth and wellbeing. With breakfast in the morning from 7:30 to 11:00, an all-day menu from 11:00 to 22:00, and coffee in the afternoon from 16:00 to 17:00, this cavernous expanse is both a social crossroads and a place of nourishment.
Yes, we have a vegetarian breakfast option for our guests. If possible, please inform us of any dietary requirements prior to your arrival. In this way so we can ensure that we meet your expectations.
Early check-in is subject to availability and only offered on the day of your reservation. To request an early check-in, contact us on the day of your arrival.
Late check-out is subject to availability. To request a late check-out, please consult your host when you check in. If a late check-out is available, an additional fee may apply.
Prior to your arrival, a representative from the guest relations team will contact you. They can assist you with all treatment and massage bookings—as well as any other bookings you wish to make. After your arrival, your personal Retreat host will gladly handle your bookings. However, due to the high demand for treatments and massage, we advise you to book in advance.
Within two weeks of your arrival, a representative from our guest relations team will contact you to create an itinerary for your stay. You will be informed of all the tours and excursions departing from the hotel, and you can book accordingly.
