Blue Lagoon temporarily closed | Blue Lagoon Iceland

Blue Lagoon plans to reopen in February 2021

In an effort to contain the spread of COVID-19 in Iceland, the government has placed restrictions on gatherings. Due to these restrictions all operations at Blue Lagoon Iceland (Blue Lagoon, Silica Hotel, Retreat Spa, Retreat Hotel, and restaurants) remain closed until February 12 2021.

We are also using this time to improve the Blue Lagoon experience and are busy preparing for your return. We are looking forward to a happy and healthy 2021, and once again share our wonder of the world with you.

We aim to open Blue Lagoon‘s experience areas in February and March as stated here below:

  • Blue Lagoon, Lava Restaurant, and Silica Hotel – February 13, open during weekends (Saturday-Sunday)

  • Retreat Spa - February 13, open on Saturdays

  • Moss Restaurant – February 13, open on Saturdays

  • Retreat Hotel – March 20, open during weekends (Saturday-Sunday)

Information for travelers visiting Iceland please refer to The Directorate of Health website for current COVID-19 regulations at the border.

During this time, our shop in Reykjavik and online store remain open.
