Blue Lagoon opens a new Medical Center

Blue Lagoon Ltd. opened a new psoriasis clinic facility on June 10.  Modern design and architecture that provides a link to the natural environment characterize the building’s appearance. Accommodations for 30 guests, an outdoor lagoon and indoor pool are among the amenities that await guests seeking psoriasis treatment. To make a typical three-week stay in Iceland more enjoyable, a fitness room, walking trails, Internet connections, and fine dining is available.

The clinic is located in the middle of a lava field, a short walking distance from the main spa, which itself  is a 40-minute drive from Reykavík, the capital. The region includes a variety of leisure options such as fitness areas, museums and golf.

Treatment for psoriasis has been offered with excellent results since 1994 and involves bathing in warm geothermal seawater known for its healing power and active ingredients: mineral, silica and algae. The treatment is natural and without side effects. In recent years, people from 18 countries, including the U.S., have visited BLUE LAGOON - Medical Center for relief from psoriasis.
