Blue Lagoon shop opens in Magasin du Nord

A new Blue Lagoon shop opened on February 15 in the cosmetic department of Magasin du Nord, one of Copenhagen’s most distinguished department stores.

Jón Björnsson, managing director of Magasind du Nord, says the new Blue Lagoon shop has been well received. “It is exciting to add the Blue Lagoon Iceland brand to our selection. The brand is new in the market and provides us with a unique position, Blue Lagoon is also better known among Danish consumers than we realized,” he says.

Sigurdur Thorsteinsson, managing director of Blue Lagoon’s international operations says that the opening of the shop marks a new era for the company. “The shop is the first one that opens outside of Iceland. The shops’ design is characteristic of the Blue Lagoon’s natural environment where clear blue color and lava play an important role,” he says. “It is pleasant for us to be able to offer Blue Lagoon skin care within the Magasin du Nord’s prestigous cosmetic department,”  he says.

The shop in Magasin is the first Blue Lagoon shop outside of Iceland. Blue Lagoon shops are also located at the Blue Lagoon, at Keflavík International Airport and at Laugavegur 15 in Reykjavík.
