Blue Lagoon Bath 10 Years Old

Wednesday, July 15, 2009 marks the 10 year anniversary of the Blue Lagoon bath. During this period of time three and a half million guests have visited the Blue Lagoon. Constant development characterizes the Blue Lagoon's operation.
A substantial enlargement and re-design was completed at the end of the year 2007. A new restaurant, Lava, and new exclusive bath and lounge offering private locker rooms and a relaxing area are among the highlights.
The Blue Lagoon holds an important role in tourism in Iceland - an industry of an increasing importance in Iceland's economy.
