Blue Lagoon skin care products hold an important role in the psoriasis treatment. The products contain the geothermal seawater's unique active ingredients; mineral salts, silica and algae and were initially developed with the needs of psoriasis patients in mind.

In addition to using the products during the treatment, use of the product is recommended at home during treatment time and following the treatment.

Blue Lagoon psoriasis body home treatment

You will need:

• Blue Lagoon silica mud mask
• Blue Lagoon mineral bath salts
• Blue Lagoonsilica softening bath & body oil
• Blue Lagoon mineral intensive cream and/or mineral moisturizing cream
• Blue Lagoon icelandic formula vitalizer

Step 1: Apply silica mud mask on appropriate areas and massage. Leave on for 10-15 minutes and let dry.
Step 2: Fill your tub with warm water (37-39°C) and add Blue Lagoon mineral bath salts and silica softening bath & body oil. Soak and relax in the warm bath for 15 minutes.
Step 3: Rinse thoroughly with luke warm water and towel dry.
Step 4: Apply intensive cream on difficult areas and moisturizing cream on the rest of the body. For face use Icelandic formula vitalizer.

Repeat the whole process at least three times a week. Apply the creams as often as needed between baths.

Blue Lagoon psoriasis scalp home treatment

You will need:

• Blue Lagoon silica mud mask
• Blue Lagoon mineral intensive cream
• Blue Lagoon silica softening bath and body oil
• Blue Lagoon silica purifying shampoo

Step 1: Mix in your palm silica mud mask and mineral intensive cream (1:1). Apply into moist scalp, paying particular attention to very dry areas. Leave on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse with luke warm water. For very dry scalp, massage silica softening bath and body oil or mineral intensive cream into scalp and leave in the hair over night.
Step 2: The next morning massage silica purifying shampoo into the scalp, leave in for 5 minutes. Rinse with luke warm water.
Step 3: Apply conditioner to nourish hair & scalp and to rinse off the silica mud mask and mineral intensive cream. Leave in for 5 minutes.
Step 4: Rinse thoroughly with luke warm water and gently towel dry.

Repeat the whole process at least three times a week until symptoms disapper. Use the silica purifying shampoo once a week as a preventative.
