During a visit to Reykjavik last month I spent an afternoon at the Blue Lagoon, not knowing in advance about the purported therapeutic benefits of it.
Having spent the last 2.5 years battling chronic allergic dermatitis (eczema), I was astounded when just a couple of days after my visit the eczema was gone entirely! I had spent many hundreds of dollars on traditional medicine (cortisone-based creams, oral allergy prescriptions) and lots of additional money on alternative therapies (Oregon grape root, various herbal supplements, vitamins) but nothing worked -- I was in significant discomfort virtually every day over that 2.5 - year period.
Anyway, the eczema has not returned -- thankfully -- and I will be forever grateful for what, by all appearances, was a miraculous cure!

Dear Esther, Brooke and I made it back to California on time last night. We are a bit tired, but delighted at the condition of Brooke's skin! Her back, arms, chest, scalp and stomach are all clear. Her legs are much better and nearly clear. She is tanned and looking beautiful. She is so happy and thankful. Everyone at the Clinic was just wonderful and made our stay very enjoyable. We will let you know how she does in the future. We are so hopeful that her skin remains clear.

I have had psoriasis for several years and therefore been an occasional guest at Blue Lagoon Clinic. Last year I consulted with a doctor and nurses at the clinic who suggested I should bathe more intensively for several weeks. It was not until then when I started to notice significant improvements on my skin. I was amazed to see how the psoriasis spots started to disappear and I finally became convinced that the Blue Lagoon treatment really works. I recently started the treatment again after a few months break and I'm already seeing the spots fade away. Tomorrow is a photo shoot, I must remember to keep my hands behind my back and put on my make-up. I hope it will hide the red rashes on my nose but it always shines through. The unpleasant disease, psoriasis.

I have had to live with psoriasis for the last thirty years. The rashes were uncomfortable and quite obvious until ten years ago when I started attending Blue Lagoon Clinic. The rashes will never disappear completely but bathing in the lagoon along with UVB light therapy keeps the symptoms down.
My previous treatments required me to stay in a hospital for 3-4 weeks and I left the hospital with my pockets full of different creams that smelt badly. Soon after having a treatment, the rashes came back.
Today I attend the Blue Lagoon Clinic 2-5 times per week depending on how bad my rashes are. I bathe for one hour and enter the UVB light therapy and use Blue Lagoon skin care products. I do no longer have to apply bad smelling creams on my skin.
During the time I have spent at the Clinic I have got to know other people that are dealing with the same problem. We discuss the treatment and share our experience. We all agree that Blue Lagoon psoriasis treatment works.
As I drive along the road to the Clinic I think about how much I look forward to rest in the lagoon after a busy day at work. It is amazing to feel the active ingredients nourish the skin and to feel how the tension floats away and the body regaining energy again. How can a treatment for such a difficult illness be so comfortable?

I want to let you know, these products are for my daughter, she is 21 years old and starting from her birth on suffering very badly from neurodermitis. She had a bad medical history all the time but Blue Lagoon products - which we got to know by chance two months ago through a friend in island are doing so much better for her - they are for the first time in her life making her feel better and I can tell you we tried a lot all over the world. The story of Victoria Eprile
Victoria Eprile is an eleven-year-old girl from Scotland. Victoria has suffered from psoriasis for the past three years and it was not until she came for a treatment at the Blue Lagoon Clinic that she got a cure from this unpleasant skin disease.
About three years ago, Victoria noticed that her skin was turning extremely dry and red under the elbows and soon she learned that she had psoriasis. It continued to spread out until 75% of her body was covered with psoriasis. She went between doctors who gave her different creams to apply on the skin but nothing worked. She was feeling depressed and it was not until her father, Mark Eprile, came across a magazine article about a geothermal health spa in Iceland that Victoria's hopes were up again. Her father visited the Blue Lagoon website and found out that Blue Lagoon also operates a Clinic that treats patients with psoriasis. He decided to take Victoria to Iceland, as he could not bear any longer watching Victoria suffer from this skin disease.
A week later, Victoria and her father were there. Victoria started bathing in the geothermal seawater for two hours six times a week, had light therapy, and used Blue Lagoon skin care products that have proved to be beneficial for people with psoriasis. In the beginning, Victoria had planned to stay one week but doctors recommended 3 - 4 weeks in order to get better results. Three weeks later, Victoria's skin condition had improved significantly and one can hardly notice that she ever suffered from psoriasis. "It is unbelievable how Victoria's skin condition has changed since she came to us and it is also wonderful to see how her personality has completely transformed," said Ragnheišur Alfrešsdóttir, manager of health services, "she has turned from being a sad and withdrawn girl to a happy and outgoing girl."
Victoria said the psoriasis greatly affected her daily life. She felt bad at school and had lost interest in her studies, her schoolmates made fun of her, and she quit her dancing lessons because the other girls did not want to be close to her. Her mother, Mahiri Robertson, saw her daughter get more and more depressed over the situation. "It was sad to see how this affected her life, she did not want to go out, had less appetite, and did not sleep well. It is wonderful to see her after she started the treatment and to see my girl smile again," said Robertson, who came to Iceland to be with Victoria when her father had to return to Scotland.
Victoria said she did not expect too much when she started the treatment at the Blue Lagoon Clinic because she was afraid she would get disappointed again. Therefore she became very happy when the psoriasis started to disappear. "I'm surprised over the results, I can't believe it's almost gone," she said.
I have to tell you about two success stories resulting from my trips to Iceland and the purchase of your products.
I gave some to a work colleague to try on his daughters itchy, flaking skin on her torso and scalp. She is only two and would cry every night with the discomfort. It went within 8 days! I now have a standing order each time I take a business trip to Iceland!
A more delicate situation, I was out having lunch with my daughter and noticed the waitress has large raised, red sores on her arms and hands. They not only looked unsightly, they were obviously sore and she was very self conscious. At first I was reluctant to say anything but felt I owed it to the poor girl! Anyhow, the following week we visited the restaurant again and I took her some moisturizing cream, she wasn't offended thank goodness. Anyhow, about 4 weeks later I just had to go back to see if there was an improvement, needless to say there was. The sores were now just flat pink marks and she made a point of thanking me. I believe she is now a regular customer of yours!

I best like mineral intensive cream, because I have psoriasis on my hands and after I have bought your cream it nearly has gone. I began with it in the beginning of April (now is September)

I just wanted to say thank you for your wonderful range of products. I have had eczema all over my body but mainly my feet for over twenty years (and I'm 22 now!). I have tried many medications including steroid creams but nothing cleared the condition. My mother brought me some of the Blue Lagoon mineral derm bar and moisturising cream after a recent trip to Iceland and after 3 weeks of using it I no longer have eczema anywhere.
